looks like a piece of crap tro me!!!
Firstly, the guns in the other videos with the exception of the Hickok45 guns are the American made versions, no the Turkish guns.
Secondly in the first video we did you will find that the updates are talked about. The plastic loading block/selector has been replaced with a new solid magnesium unit, with an updated 5mm selector bolt and metal selector. These units are very strong and will hold up under pressure for sure. The top rail is now also magnesium instead of polymer and there are increased welds on the barrel bands. The only problems we had with the first guns were SOME selectors breaking and a few with weak barrel welds, due to human error. Feeding issues etc were due to user error not the shotgun.
I did notice quite a few jams and FTF in the video. Did you guys try it out and/or make a video with different kinds of ammo? I am curious how it would handle the cheaper trap rounds for playing around camping. Looks like a fun gun. But im not sold for that price.
you can see the older fellow short stroking it repeatedly which is causing the ftf.
(boy I hope I still have a job in the morning)The first video was shot using a mix of new ammo, from cheap trap loads to buckshot. The majority of the rounds shot in the second video were old old old paper hulled rounds, a lot of which were corroded and some very old plastic hull loads, which were a variety of shot sizes. If you're not familiar with paper hulled shells, they are covered in a light lacquer but they also tend to swell with age if they get damp etc, and the shells deform somewhat, which did cause some of the jams, along with casing splitting in the chamber etc. No shotgun would have performed any better with that old hodge podge of ammo. The last two loadings of the second video are all done with new pheasant load ammo.
I would like to see you guys shoot a great deal of quality ammo through this. Frankly this video was just two guys blowing off a ton of old crappy ammo. The result was 50% of the time spent fiddling and ejecting jams and bad feeds, 50% spent firing. That to me looks like a crappy gun. I can't tell if that's the gun or the ammo. Too easy to blame on the ammo.
My Mossberg 590A1 has sticky ejections from bad ammo, but it still ejects, still cycles and never jams. Why would someone be interested in a tactical gun that they have to pop open and clear jams every time they try to empty the tube?
Like I said, a proper torture test would involve you testing firing a great deal of good ammo, as a control. Show what it can do. Not what it does to ammo most of us won't fire. Paper shells? I can't tell you the last time I saw that stuff.
How long is this show up and torture test offer open for? I've been looking at one of these in scepticism for the last while. Started with kel tec KSG but didn't bit the bullet because I'm not a fan of polymers. A torture test I'd like to see is burning up a flat or 2 of trap loads, 2-3/4 or 3dr eq.... I'd like to see how it handles some heat. I have 2 flats I'd be willing to sacrifice.
No problem, we can do that, wait for our next video. We will edit out the loading time and note any failures. The barrel got extremely hot, to hot to touch yet the polymer was still comfortable to hold with bare hands. The point of using the old corroded was to show the efficiency of the greatly improved chamber, which based on my practical experience solves a lot of issues incorrectly blamed on extractors and extractor springs.
More to follow.
Hey John why don't you ship that down to Ontario with a few flats of ammo and I would be happy to do an independent test for you.
This would save you guys the time and trouble of having to haul it all to the range, set up, shoot, suffer the sore shoulder and then clean up.
I am willing to be your guinea pig and take one for the team.Just thought I put that out there.
That is maybe a good idea! please send me an e-mail John@wolverinesupplies.com
