i like mine stock, but would like to try shooting some of those just to try something different. I guess thats why we don't all drive identical vehicles, mind you they all do the same basic thing, point A to point B

My top 4 SKSes from this thread.

Nice Paratrooper, looks comfortable to shoot.

The Zrak ON-M76 is a nice touch on a Yugo

Nice custom stock. good craftsmanship.

Good attention to detail.

3 plastic splattered bubba guns and one with parts missing.

Unfortunately aftermarket bullpup stocks are illegal. Bullpup rifles that require the stock to function such as the Favor, FS2000, T97 etc are legal because the action and trigger group are integrated into the stock from the factory. Basically you can't convert a conventional rifle into a bullpup but we can have factory made bullpups. Makes about as much sense banning AKs except one variant that's nonrestricted. The .22 is illegal, the .308 is nonrestricted.

Someone tell me why we cant have these in canada again?

If norinco sold theser in this stock from the factory, would they be legal then?

I understand what you are saying, but if the manufacturer never made the rifle attached a wooden stock to it in the factory and purchased these aftemarket stocks to attach for their initial assembly before they sold them (new), to me that would be how they were manufactured(assembled) and cover one requirement.

On the downside, if you say that part of the reciever or action needs to be designed or integrated into the bull pup stock, then it would likely not meet that requirement.

I was thinking for a second that maybe norinco could just order aftermarket parts, assemble them from new and stamp the rifles as a sub model.

The above rifle was priced for sale at $650. That to me would be interesting to see available, despite what the "under-bridge dwellers" would say.
