m305/m14 light weight stocks?

Hey H2O man, How do you like that MDT recoil pad? I bought the magpul enhanced pad and think it's pretty decent. offers a little better grip and a little bit of recoil absorption.

I have my blackfeather M14 set up pretty similar. CTR stock and the Hogue grip is another good option Rob_man. I also have the M14.ca CASM mount and an optic on mine, something you should check out.

ya im considering a optic but i want something that i can still use the stripper clip guide but just cant figure it out yet. im not a fan of sights with batteries.

Maybe some type of Scout scope out front on the SHG

Glad you like her man. A lot of work goes into a handcrafted custom stock. Your M14SA2 Camo Hunter is special as it was the last one off my molds to be made for sale. ;)

got the stock yesterday and im in the slow process of prepping the rifle for the op rod guide, just need a width gauge (vernier) to measure out proper thickness. once its ready to go i will post a video of how to install it seeing as there isnt one as of yet. as well as a short review. now i just need to order the butt stock and ill post some pics!!

Finally had the chance to put some things on a scale. The scale used is a "Palmscale 8"

The original chinese black plastic stock came in at 1525g or 3lb 5.79oz

Homemade pistol grip stock is 1181g or 2lb 6.13oz

Total weight savings 1525g - 1181g = 344g or 12.13oz

Also of interest
black arrow spring guide = 54.4g or 1.92oz
Chinese spring guide 23.4g or 0.83oz
(But clearly the added accuracy is worth a couple grams!)
Oprod = 223.6g
Norinco 20rd mag = 250.9g
Trigger group = 266.7g
Piston = 47.4g
Bolt = 148.7g
Gas plug = 27.1g
Spring = 39.5g
Aluminum casm scope mount = 112.4g
