Bought a SA National Match M1A, what can i expect accuracy wise from those enhancements and without changing the reciever wich scope base would you recommend, i got a cheap Ncstar base on my 305 and actually it did pretty good but i dont mind paying more for quality... JP.

If you get 1.5 inches at 100 yards you are doing very well. Take a look at the Fulton web site ... Fulton Armory Precision Guarantee: Under 1.5 MOA (With Hornady® Match™ Ammunition) for their version of the rifle.

I assume Springfield should be about the same.
Based on the Fulton warranty, we should not be talking about one lucky group - it should literally do it every time.

"...what can I expect accuracy wise..." It'll depend on the ammo. Use mediocre ammo and you'll get mediocre accuracy. Use ammo loaded for the rifle(despite SA voiding the warrantee for using handloads) and you'll get good accuracy.
"...the Fulton warranty..." It means nothing for an SA Inc. rifle. Especially as you can't get one from Fulton in Canada. Fulton doesn't export.

It is true that US national match specs are pretty uninspiring (see post #3). However, they (the match specs) were made up back in the 1960's and I don't think they've been formally updated. Besides, these are minimal standards, most rifles would well exceed those standards (I hope).
I own a Springfield NM M1A that was made in the early 1990's (so I can't vouch for what their current quality/offerings are). It shot moa or sub moa (3 shot groups) consistantly with my "mexican match" ammo at the time. I did a competition (and won
) with the help of a 200m 5 shot group of 1.07" (federal 168 gr match) 5-10 mph crosswind. Bipod front only, no rear rest allowed.
So, if Springfield has held up their quality control since then, you should be well served.

If you read between the lines you might think of Fulton as roughly equivalent to Springfield and thereby deduce that accuracy expectations from one would probably be very close to that of the other. Getting one in Canada has nothing to do with the point.

I have one that I have not used and don't intend to. I shoot my M1A's open sighted. I also have the Smith cheek pad for M14. PM me if interested.

I have a brand new Elcan Specter 1.5X6 calibrated for the 7.62X51, i never got to use it on nothing, i think it would be at home on my NM M1A... JP.

No I won't and neither will anyone else. My sarcastic comment was in response to the many unverified claims of bench rifle accuracy from M14 rifles that have had little or nothing done to them. There are just too many things moving on the M14 for that type of performance. There are also few people who could shoot an iron sighted rifle that well. I get pretty frigging excited when my SL-8 gives me 1.5" 5 shot groups with Gold Medal match and iron (plastic) sights and it's a free floated heavy barrel design albeit with a bad trigger.
My ATRS tuned Rem 700 XCR tactical shoots a half inch. Only rifle I've ever had that does.
