Well my buddy has recently decided on getting his hunting license, he will be taking his hunters/firearms safety course in a few weeks and seeing as lately he has helped me through some tough emotional times I have an urge to buy him a "graduation" gift, through some subtle questioning on the part of his GF for me I figured out he wants a 22,unfortunately I don't know what type so I guess I have to let my own instincts tell me that seeing as I will be hunting with him often I don't really think a semi would be a good choice,I figure a Bolt with either a tube mag or a detachable box magazine with a low power scope would be perfect. I have a rather limited budget for this of about 175-200 bucks so I was thinking a cooey 60-600 or a lakefield savage mark whatever they are(
) but I'm sure you guys have some better ideas,as long as it is accurate(who likes to start shooting with a inaccurate rifle?) and has dovetails for a scope, that brings me to my next question, what scope can be had for that kinda budget that wont fall apart within a few years? does not have to have high magnification simply be solid and dependable. Any suggestions welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks,
Hunter.
