Cant adjust scope on su16F ? Shooting 24MOA too low even with max adjustment

Duly noted: I just tend to sight-in at targets out 50 yards, as oppose to 50 metres, but it's all good (esp. as negligible difference, so the essence of the point remains the same) !

Sorry I quoted your as I agree that the OP should be sighting in at a minimum of 50 yards/meters. And was only trying to post on the OP's personal scope/mount set up. Cheers.

If you're talking about a collimator type bore sighter, that won't work. I just went through all that with mine. The receiver height as compared to the barrel is too high for that type of boresighter to work. A laser type boresighter might help but frankly it will be useless outdoors in bright light. That bore to line of sight height difference on the SU-16 makes for your initial sight in range to be at least 50 yards. My SU-16 likes a clean barrel too. The groups closed to about 2" after cleaning using bulk American Eagle.
Get on the paper at around 50 yards if you can and slowly work out to 100 yards or more in 20 yard increments and see how your POI's rise. Tweak the scope as necessary. If something is out of whack, reversing the mount or trying an ordinary set of rings would be a good place to start.

Had no problems with my su16 sighting in but first thing i would do is try another mount. Would like to point out that scope will have to be removed when you break the rifle down for cleaning, requiring resighting in the scope. I used a scorpion compact 3x9 so i can remove barrel and not have to remove the scope. I have been using a friends Bushnell lazer boresighter with good results, 22-50 cal arbours.

Have you tried zeroing at 100m yet? Based on the height of scope over bore, a 100m zero should be 3-4 inches low at 25m. Everything is probably fine if you try shooting at the rifle range instead of the pistol range....lol
