Shorten PAL Approval Times

I'm in Ontario.
I'm going to call the CFO office early next week and see what happens.

Interviews are not generally done for PAL applications. If this was an RPAL, then yes that would be odd.

I applied for non-restricted. Wasn't sure if I'd receive an interview or not, I'm new to this whole process.
I think I'll call and ask the same question you did.

License issued today. Got there on the 2nd of july.

They lost my safety certs so i had to fax them in twice, by time the second ones got there they had found and input the first... So I had to wait on that, real tease getting those missing info letters from the rcmp.

All in all I can't complain, the only reason I didn't have this a couple weeks ago was because one of my references flaked for a bit.

Now to get my number tomorrow and order that canammmo 1911.
 
Sent my PAL app in September registered mail, it got there September 9th. Didn't come up online until last Thursday (october 3rd). I called in to see if they were missing any info. I was told that it was still in initial processing, they hadn't entered any info... call back in two weeks. Just checked today October 9th, its says it was issued and should arrive within 2 weeks. Was faster than I expected... 30days. I had previous military / airport security clearances, maybe that helped...

At least a few of us had prior Mil etc.. and that didn't help at all. However airport I can't say either way though given the stupidity of the system I doubt it does at all.
 
Here is my timeline:

-September 12: Paperwork received in Miramichi via registered mail
-October 11: Called in to see whats going on, nothing on the websiteand I was told that my papers were all good and hat they are in the final process, so I got interviewed:)

I applied for RPAL and it took 31 calendar day to be processed and interviewed, so I'll be damn close from the 45 days advertised to get my licence. Nothing is showing on the website, I'm tryig to log in with the GC KEY but once I enter my questions and answer it doesn't do anything...

Will update when I finally get the card.

Ok, I got mine done there too, mailed the app out right away!
But when I got home, I measured the 2nd photo they gave me, and it's a little bigger then what's requested :/

Anyone know if they will they trim it, or deny it?

What they gave you is probably a "pass port" size.. once again the size difference is BS just to make it harder for "us"

As for rejecting it.. I have not heard that yet but it would not surprise me at all.
 
Odd when I went to shoppers the girl knew what I was talking about. Opened a binder and she had the same sheet as me. Photo then she cut to size right in store.
