What province are you guys in? The staff at the CFO office in Ontario are great people. A nice phonecall/visit works wonders to move along your application
I'm in Ontario.
I'm going to call the CFO office early next week and see what happens.

How long after that call did your status changed to approved/issued?
Interviews are not generally done for PAL applications. If this was an RPAL, then yes that would be odd.I haven't done an interview. I called yesterday when I noticed it was in the "in progress" stage to make sure I wasn't missing any info or had anything filled out incorrectly. She told me my application was complete and accurate, and I asked her if I could do my interview, and I was told I don't have to. Which I found kind of odd??

Did you mark on your app that it was for work?
Sent my PAL app in September registered mail, it got there September 9th. Didn't come up online until last Thursday (october 3rd). I called in to see if they were missing any info. I was told that it was still in initial processing, they hadn't entered any info... call back in two weeks. Just checked today October 9th, its says it was issued and should arrive within 2 weeks. Was faster than I expected... 30days. I had previous military / airport security clearances, maybe that helped...
If I'm applying for an RPAL does my wife also have to call in and do an interview or just my two references?
I've never heard of a spouse being called yet.. though I'm sure it's possible in some strange cases given the lunacy of this process.
Just the references call in, they'll ask if you're still together and that's about it

As long as it's the right do mentions/resolution you can. However some people have reported getting denied on good quality home pics and others stating grainy poor quality black and whites getting accepted. Got mine at Shoppers drug mart for about $12.
Ok, I got mine done there too, mailed the app out right away!
But when I got home, I measured the 2nd photo they gave me, and it's a little bigger then what's requested :/
Anyone know if they will they trim it, or deny it?
