New pistolah!!

Been a long time since I stripped a Berreta 92 but I don't recall them having that hunk of metal on the bottom of the barrel. Is this a ' close copy ' or am I missing something ?

Other than that, congrats. nice looking piece.

It's the Locking Block. Just like on any Beretta 92.

Oops, forgot to say that the pistol looks very nice.

like bscout said, part of the locking mechanism, normal Beretta 92 stuff. Perfect copy of a 92f. Not fs.

this one is railed, so its like a 92a1

As for how it shoots, its awesome, as far as I can tell. I was shooting pie plate sized 20 shot groups from 10 meters standing. Counting the fliers. Most of it was softball sized. many shots touching or close to it. I shot 13 out of 20 in the head of a standard IDPA target at 25 meters standing. not too bad in my books.

Also, I shot 4 different kinds of ammo, both factory and reloaded, no malfunctions of any kind. Even mixing different ones in each mag. It shoots really well.

fits my hand like it was made for it.

The only thing I don't like is that the safety/decocker on the top of the slide gets I the way of my hand when racking it.

I also would have liked to get a non railed one, both for looks and because getting a nice holster for this is proving to be a pain in the ass.

JR,

Nice! Coincidentally, this is my newest addition to the family as well!

I've been lusting after a Beretta 92 for some time now. Recently, the Girsans were brought to my attention by some local dealers. At almost half the price, and the promise of being machined on the same machines, I made the plunge.

Only have about 500 rounds through it, but so far have no complaints. Having put more rounds through the Beretta, I'm hard pressed to see the difference between the two handguns.

Any impressions this early on?

as for impressions, yea its been great. shoots straight, never fails, everything is tight. I believe I wrote about it more in either this thread or the Girsan thread. :)
