I was going to order an STI Perfect 10 but I realized that the grip portion of the frame is polymer. So now I'm looking at the Kimber Eclipse or Colt Delta Elite.

Yeah, the frame is modular, the top part where the rails are is stainless but the grip and trigger guard are polymer. If I'm paying nearly 3k for a handgun I don't want any plastic.

Thats my thinking too :(.

Damnnnn back to the drawing board, a STI 10mm would of been sweet but not dishwasher friendly

Same here, I think I'm just going to try and find a Kimber Eclipse Custom II, there's to many things about the Colt Delta Elite I dislike.

Oh and to the OP, sorry about derailing your thread, it's not everyday 10mm talk pops up on this board.

No worries - love the 10mm too!

Well after the first 100 rounds - no failures and some very messed up paper!

Love this gun - 10mm conversion successful!

Gun started as a 40S&W.

5" 10mm barrel, magazines (made by Metalform), 22lbs recoil spring and FO front sight are from Fusion Firearms. Rear sight is a Heinie.

Total cost around $850 all in to date including the gun, barrel, mags, springs, grips, sights.

I need to do a trigger job next as it's a bit heavy.
