I killed something with my black rifle today

The SU16 has a polymer receiver, the AR is aluminum, there is a difference. Your statement is wrong.

With the greatest of respect, you are not disputing/debunking my assertion that both rifles contain plastic - you are merely saying one is "more plastic" than the other.

...................

You need your hunter safety course and a small game licence and that is it. In this part of Ontario there is no season or limit or tags for coyotes (rules are different in northern ontario).

This is likely an obvious question for you guys, but.....

in Ontario, what do you need to hunt yotes?

I'm going to run a couple searches in the hunting forum, just wondering if any of you have a quick accurate answer for me

i mostly range shoot, but lately acquired some new guns that would be great for dropping yotes!

OP, nice gun, nice dogs.

I think what TDC is saying is that the AR is not a plastic gun because typically when you refer to a gun as plastic it has a polymer reciever like the SU-16, my HK or a few others. The way you seem to be applying it sounds like any rifle with a plastic pistol grip or forend is a plastic gun.
I don't consider my AR's to be polymer rifles because it is only the furnature not the main components.

THIS IS MOSTLY CORRECT!

MOST of Ontario all you need is your small game licence as there is some areas you need an endorsement and tags.

Here yotes are essentially unregulated. You need a small game licence, there was talk of some kind of dog seal you would need but I don't know if it ever went through. Most guys like a 223 or 243 for yotes here in the south. I have been using a 6.5 x55 because its my favorite caliber and even with light bullets it flattens them. my next yote gun will probably be a T97 or su16.

"Some Areas" Meaning anywhere north of the French/mattawa rivers. So in about 85% of Ontario you need to buy additional tags and you are limited to 2. Between this ####ed up system and the spring bear hunt cancellation it makes for some greaaaaat moose and deer hunting and is doing an absolute bang up job increasing the size of the herds. But I guess we have the douchenozzles in queens park to thank for it. That and some folks in southern Ontario that think Algonquin park is "Way up north" and who like to go up there for a weekend away from their condo to hear the "Majestic creatures" howl at night.

Do I sound bitter?

Now I just need to get my T97 in hand and perhaps I'll try for coyotes and wolves this winter. Were I able to get out for deer I'd take the M305 for the tree stand and CZ858 for drives through the bush.

Congratulations to the OP on his harvest.

Great shooting OP!

I wanna play too! Damn I wish I could get a crack at one of those. I usually try in the dead of winter, didn't know they would respond to a call this early. Either way I do it with a bolt gun and your way looks waayyy more fun:)

So what does it cost to get into one of these unrestricted black rifles?

Thanks.

What do you do with the dead coyotes? (OP or other hunters). I'm guessing their fur has some value?
\

I skin them out and sell them but you don't have too. Many farmers in the area are just happy to see them dead. Some of the farmers I talked to have lost farm dogs, cats as well as chickens ,calves ect.. to these varmint. Dont feel bad if you shoot them and leave em.
