The number of complaining posts is absolutely amazing. Let me sum up the issues I see.
Q: Rifle is not perfect with very possible feature under the sun at less than fine meal.
A. You paid a third for the rifle compared to the next bull-pup and you knew it was a first-off-run. There will be teething pains and if you're not clever with your hands you may wish to wait for a few generations till they iron the wrinkles out.
Q CAN-AM You promised it in the Fall, it's now FALL.
A. CAN-AM did not charge me anything from my pre-order and I suspect anyone doing the T97NRR pre-order was not charged. I believe some of the original orders from 4 years ago were a different story. I decided I did not want to wait any more and purchased one of the T97NSR. A choice we all have if we want it now. When the T97NNR comes I'll get that as well, this year or next or whenever.
As for my experience.
The rifle worked out of the box and I'm pleased with the feel and size. The mag release and magwell did not work perfectly but an evening with a file, some sand paper and oil took care of those issues. Still need to deal with dents in the case, likely from the lack of a feed ramp and make a scope mount adapter. I'm a tinkerer and messing with a $1000 rifle is a lot less risky than messing with a $2700 rifle.
So - suggestions are a good idea but let's keep the bellyaching down to dull roar. I've been following all T97 threads and do not feel any retailer or importer has offered false or misleading posts.
To Can-Am; if you chose to postpone your shipment until improvements have been made I will still be your customer.
