I own both the SKS and the CZ 858.
The CZ is way overpriced for what it is. I never shoot it.
I regret buying it to be honest and am debating selling her.
The SKS does everything the CZ does, same caliber, same effective range, same accuracy. The SKS just costs $200 for a good ol' Russian while the CZ is up in the retardosphere of overpriced guns in this country.
Plus with the end of importation, people are only going to be asking more than what they sold for new for a used-hard rifle all tacti-###'ed up etc.
People say the CZ is very reliable, I experienced problems with mine, the bolt catch wore down doesn't always work, mine also gets the uncocked trigger problem once in a while. There are zero parts for them that don't cost ridiculous amounts of money and that's only going to get worse with no more coming into the country.
I find the rifle just feels cheap and flimsy, just not a fan. I tried to like mine (even had some custom stock/wood made for her) for a long time before I just came to terms with my distaste for it.
Go with the SKS Sir, long term investment wise and practicality wise it's the logical choice these days. Just my 2 cents.
