So I traded an m14 which I had put some work into and the previous owner had put some work into that I traded for a vz58. I took that vz58 to the range today for the first time and after functioning beautifully for 70 rounds, the 71st round had a hard stoppage. I racked the slide as hard as I could and the round came out but the next one jammed as well, then the next and the next and the next...5 in a row with Chinese surplus so I switched ammo thinking it might have gotten hot and didn't like Chinese ammo and grabbed some pretty glossed Czech surplus and the next two jammed. the last one jammed so hard I had to kick the cocking handle to get it to slide back (don't try at home, I'm a professional hehe) after that I ended my range session boxed her up and took her home. When I got home I stripped it down and noticed this is what my bolt looks like.
Now this is probably just bad luck but do I have moral grounds to expect the previous owner to fix this? Is 70 rounds acceptable? I feel gypsied out of a functioning rifle. How likely is this chance? Are these vz58 sporters milspec? If not do cz858 bolts work in vz58's? How much are they on average and where can I find one?
