So I traded an m14 which I had put some work into and the previous owner had put some work into that I traded for a vz58. I took that vz58 to the range today for the first time and after functioning beautifully for 70 rounds, the 71st round had a hard stoppage. I racked the slide as hard as I could and the round came out but the next one jammed as well, then the next and the next and the next...5 in a row with Chinese surplus so I switched ammo thinking it might have gotten hot and didn't like Chinese ammo and grabbed some pretty glossed Czech surplus and the next two jammed. the last one jammed so hard I had to kick the cocking handle to get it to slide back (don't try at home, I'm a professional hehe) after that I ended my range session boxed her up and took her home. When I got home I stripped it down and noticed this is what my bolt looks like.

Now this is probably just bad luck but do I have moral grounds to expect the previous owner to fix this? Is 70 rounds acceptable? I feel gypsied out of a functioning rifle. How likely is this chance? Are these vz58 sporters milspec? If not do cz858 bolts work in vz58's? How much are they on average and where can I find one?

Uh... Are you joking? Movie arms? I'm gonna trust my gun in the hands of the guys who brought us such realistic classics as "the hurt locker"? (Sarcasm the hurt locker was retarded.) also death race. In which half the guns they talked about in the movie they called by the wrong name, type of weapon or caliber.

If the previous owner knew there was an issue he's at fault for selling you a defective rifle as functional. If he did not then it's just your bad luck. Find a gunsmith who will fix it and move on.

Why find a gun smith??? Why not buy a new part?!? How could a gun smith fix this? I don't know where the bit tht broke off went and i am sure if I knew where to find one (not Sfrc or wolverine still looking tho) then I would just order a better replacement.

The dude with the guitar seems to think its pretty funny. But yeah looks like this one is on you unfortunately. Contact Wolverine Supplies to see if they have a spare bolt or parts kit otherwise hit up the EE. Someone in Canada will have a spare.

Adriantorty do you just talk out of your ass all day? How could a gun smith fix that bolt? Gunsmiths aren't superman. I work in a metal shop and I couldn't fix this bolt. And why would a gun smith replace my bolt for free?
Also I want to know what the hell you were talking about when you mentioned "movie arms" you can't be serious right?

Look at those dicks laughing and being all happy at your misfortune in the newspaper I would have punched them in the face.

Ok serious time this I assume is a csa 7.62? If so I am almost certain the bolt is swappable with a cz858, there is another forum here where a guy has a cz with a cooked receiver, pop him a message and see if you can buy his rifle as a spare and then yank the bolt out of it.
I could be wrong, but i am 98% sure the cz bolt fits.

Sevensixtwo,

You sould contact North Sylva, the Canadian distributor for CSA, and report the problem.
I'm sure you'll be put in contact with the right person to get your bolt replaced.

Oh my god shut up and get out of my thread.

Like I said there is a guy in this red rifle thread that has a cz with cooked receiver, all i know is the csa has a backward safety selector to the cz, since I already have 2 czs I have not done much research between the differences between cz and csa, but since it is confirmed that the cz bolt fits, pm that guy work something out, see if you can buy the bolt itself. If that doesn't work, call or email NS. and post on their thread.
