If you're looking for accuracy, look beyond bulk ammo.

MFS and American Eagle seem to work pretty well for me. They seem to be a step up from Norinco.

MFS is steel case and partially steel projectile too, some people are put off by that.

What's wrong with the norc ammo? It's gone bang every time I pulled the trigger. Feeds fine and the accuracy is acceptable for what it is.

SFRC has the Norinco ammo in stock. It's great plinking ammo IMO.

reload, that way you have no good excuse to whine about cheap ammo.

I have used American Eagle, Norinco, MFS bulk ammos and it's all been just fine, but your best bet might be to reload. I also reload bulk ammo and its cost is break even on bulk so why not? I reload cause I enjoy it aswell so that helps.

tulammo is also around now? I've never tried it but it is another option.

Norinco ammo is fine for what it is, and if you're blasting away on the 7 yard line it's perfect. Sure, you might get a hard-primer or some other minor malfunction every once and a while but that's great for practicing malfunction drills. I wouldn't want to be shooting for accuracy at 200 yards though.

seems accurate enough for me. And always goes bang. well pretty much always. I have had one non-bang in about 800 rounds.

I got lucky last week at Reliable. They were selling some norc 5.56. I bought 200 rounds (40 rounds / pack). May be they still have some in stock. They can't keep them in stock for long. Been using norc 5.56 and have no issue with them... count the stars

Norc ammo is pretty good in my NR ACR. Hits a 16x18 gong at 400 yards 10 out of 10rounds

Most are put off by the fact that there is only one bullseye in every crate.

Buckshot patterns better than MFS ammo.

i shopped around and can reload 223 55fmj around $230/1000 better than norc and a little cheaper

I have 1 out 10 light primer strikes using the 1600 rnd crate 556 stuff, in multiple different guns. I like the MFS stuff, be it steel case.

Who pays for .223 brass? I got several thousand that I've collected, it doesn't take long to have a large collection of it.
I don't take into consideration the cost of brass that is commonly littered all over the range.

that being said, I mean for "bulk" reloading, for my precision rifle I used same headstamp brass.
