Back in December 2012, I purchased a Norinco M93 Woodsman clone. I went ahead with the purchase knowing the workmanship on Norincos aren't the best, but I wanted a cheap .22 pistol just for target practice and the M93 was very affordable. The pistol broke after I put in the first 20 rounds. The slide-stop kept engaging after each round was fired. I immediately bought the pistol back to Wanstalls and they sent it back to Norinco for me.

I was expecting the repairs to take, at most, three months. However, I contacted Wanstalls month after month and it still wasn't ready for pickup. At this point, I was becoming pretty concerned, but it was reassuring that Wanstalls replied back to all my queries pretty quickly.

In September I finally learn the repairs on the pistol has been completed and it should be shipped back to me anytime soon. Since it was being shipped to me, I asked Wanstalls to throw in an extended magazine release for my Ruger 10/22 in the parcel and send me the bill.

They never sent me the bill, just an e-mail letting me know both the pistol and the magazine release has been shipped to me. I received the parcel a few days later.

They gave me a pistol sleeve too for my M93.

Group Shot

I took the M93 to the range about a month after I received it. The sight was a bit off and the groupings weren't the greatest (although neither is my aim). What's important is that after putting ~40 rounds through the pistol, I haven't experienced a problem with it.

I'd just though I should share, while the repairs did take a long time, I'd just like to thank Wanstalls for making things right in the end.

They've gone the extra mile for me too. Buying knowing you don't have to worry if something goes wrong is why I keep going back there, even though it's a one hour drive from my home.

you have a one hour drive.....I have five to seven days delivery by mail.....And it is their reputation and their service why I do business with them time after time... the wait is worth it...

I had a problem with my Norinco 1911. The ejector holding pins broke. The dealer i bought the gun from handled it differantly. When I sent the broken gun back he replaced it with a new one. Turn around time 7 days!!!

the way it should have been done

They sent it back to china? They probably fixed it, test fired it on the person who initially assembled it, then shipped it back.

Great. It's haunted now, I guarantee.

Oh, and Great Work Wanstalls! ;)

Ehmm.... Am I missing something here? New gun. Failed with less than a box of ammo through it. Over 9 month repair turnaround time.
Thumbs up for the service???

I'd expect a replacement, or a refund, unless I actually did something boneheaded to break the gun.
