Same boat! My Shilen just came in this week and all I can do is fondle it lol. I'm contemplating a different grip now though, I find the hogue one to be a little small in my hands. How do you like the bcm?

Ahh.....boo. I finally got the chance to mount my Rem 700 onto my LSS chassis, and the supplied mounting bolts are too long. They stick through the holes and hit the riffle bolt. Now where to find some washers that are big enough to go on the supplied bolts but not much bigger than the bolt head so it'll fit in the hole in the stock..... I might have to make some.
Maybe, if I had a good tap and die set. If I ever wanted to mount a different Rem 700 and the bolts were short, I'd be sad.
I do love this setup. The ability to use box magazines is a dream come true. If definitely front heavy at the moment.
sorry if this has been covered, I have the Remington 700 Tactical, heavy barrell, 20" in .223 with the hinged floor plate internal magazine. Will this work for that rifle, are the detachable magazines available (will they work) and if I want to upgrade to a bigger bolt handle, with this still all fit?
Yes. Unless your bolt handle is a lot shorter, or the size of a golf ball or something.
I have a AAC-SD with a 20" heavy barrel in mine, dropped right in with no problem. I also ordered some of the 5round .308 mags from MDT and they seem to work fine with dummy ammo in the house, haven't got out to shoot it yet though.
No, but I figure the .223 shouldn't have any problems if the .308 doesn't.
