Its a Stevens 200 223. Id have to say the fit was pretty good. thumbs up here

Im going to bed it and throw a pillar on the rear action screw only, but I want a metal trigger guard first. Boyds didnt have em, but I think Brownells will. Does anyone in Canada carry these?

cheers

I am also interested in a boyds stock for a stevens 200, I assume that a savage 10 110 will fit if its a long action center or staggered feed.
do the stocks not come with recoil pads?

Measure the action screw holes and match it with the stock on boyds site. The stocks come with that small rubber one in the pic above. They have the option to add a 1" one though as well. The limit is $500 so might as well et everything on it you want.

The stock comes complete with pad. Like hth said, you have to find out it your stevens is a center feed or staggered feed. Mine is a staggered feed so my actions screws measured 4.25". The center feed is about a half inch longer.

One thing you will have to get with this stock is the longer action screws with it. Boyds have these as well for 4 bucks.

Just check out the stocks for the stevens 200 on the boyds site. They have all the info on the site to figure out what you need.

Weatherby Vanguard S2, 308, Minox scope, has Talley 2 piece lightweight rings now.

Wish I had known then that I could order one over $100, i'd have gotten checkering... Oh well....

I have a REM 799, Mini mauser action with pencil barrel made by Zastava and dropped in a Boyd's nutmeg.... Nice and compact and easy to carry for coyote sets.... Really wih Boyd's had one for the rem 700 with detachable mag option... would be on it like a fat kid on a smartie.....

Looks like you have one of each, the Classic and Prairie Hunter?
If so, which one do you like the best for hunting?

Hi guys!

I called Boyds stocks and asked them a few questions. Firstly, I told them I was left handed and have always shot right handed bolt rifles. Most stocks I can shoot just fine with, with the exception of rollover cheek pieces.

Ideally, I would like to stock my Ruger M77, Tang Saftey, with thier "Prairie Hunter" stock. But am unsure if it would be comfortable for me.

I wanted to ask them if they could inlet a stock for a right hand bolt, and put a left handed cheek piece on it.

When I talked to the Boyds stocks "lady", and she told me that thier stock designs would not be suitable for a left handed shooter! And that they dont make custom options for thier stocks.

Man! Now I am not sure if she even has a clue about thier stocks, or if I should just forget about ordering one! I am very dissappointed!

I even seen in the left handed stock section that they offer left hand prairie Hunter. And it says :

Left Hand Stocks
Boyds'® Replacement stocks come in a variety of makes and models for the Left Hand shooter. Boyds'® left hand stocks are available in the following designs; Classic, Featherweight Thumbhole, Prairie Hunter, and Sterling. Boyds'® also offer 3 different ambidextrous stocks in the following designs; SS Evolution®, Rimfire Hunter, and TactiCool. We offer options for a Left Hand Stock Right Hand Action and Left Hand Stock Left Hand Action.

Am I just SOL? Or will the standard right hand stocks suffice, as the factory ones have for years?!
