Interest in a Non-Res. AR type rifle in .22 Magnum?

Is there much interest in say a Mossberg 715 black AR type non-restricted rimfire chambered for the .22 Winchester magnum cartridge with a 25 rnd. magazine. Certainly would provide a bridge between the .22lr and 5.56 for high capacity non-restricted fun shooting that won't break the bank but is still a step up in power.

Anything like that exist? (NR)

I would. But minus all the plastic. Like say an XCR in 22WM would be sweet.

Sorry, that bullpup on Freedom Ventures is plumb fugly.... not that I wouldn't shoot her, I just won't bring her home to show mom.

Max mag capacity in a .223 is five rounds. Ten if you have ugly short pistol mags, 15-16 if you feel that $175/magazine is reasonable, and you enjoy being hassled by ignorant fellow shooters and harassed by similarly ignorant cops.

.22 WMR is unlimited capacity.

Case closed.

Here I was thinking all this time (about two weeks) that only .22LR were unlimited in semi-auto long rifles. Didn't clue in that .22WMR are rimfire too. Nice!
 
Was interested till I saw that thing, it looks like a T97 molested a CX Storm and that is the bastard offspring...
 
if there was a mag larger than 10 rounds Id consider that fugly little rifle LOL
 
I would think that if a semi auto platform rifle were developed for the 17wsm and then some one where to make a 25-30 round mag for said rifle , and then made a pistol that would accept said rifle magazine that you would have something worthwhile for the Canadian market

I have read that there are issues with .17HMR in semi-auro, something about overheating. Don't know much about it, just read it on here, might have been the Tanfoglio Appeal thread.

That would be illegal....10 rounds in a semi pistol.. rimfire or centrefire regardless ...please see the bx 25 magazine fiasco with the ruger 10/22 & charger pistol.. it's ridiculous yes...but it would make the magazine prohib if you put it in the pistol
