Guess she figured you would be smart enough to figure it out... what does that say about you....hmmm. Some people type quickly while on a cell phone during a work break and dont proof read and check every thing. Get a life. If you dont like the grammer then dont respond at all and move on.

. As others have said, writing in proper English is considered a basic courtesy. You are asking others for help, so you might as well show some respect by putting a little more effort into your post than you would put into a drunken text on a girls' night out.
P.S. you may want to check youtube for videos on how to disassemble a 1911. It can be tricky the first couple of times but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. I also would not recommend shooting that gun without lubricating it properly (greasing the rails alone is not sufficient).

No they are not; but there are plenty of knowledgeable and ostensibly helpful individuals who are disinclined to render aid to those who do not put in the effort to ensure that their plight is easily and unambiguously understood. Grammar does matter, especially when asking for help.

Thank you Plinker 777. I only had handload 124gr. with 3.8 gr. green dot and it just cycles my Girsan. Wolverine said break it in with 400 rounds of 147 gr. factory ammo. Where I live, we don't have many options for handgun ammo and all I could find was American Eagle 147 grain flat point. Wolverine said it will cycle fine with those, but I have heard tell of people who are having trouble with the SAM Omega 6 .40's having trouble because they are not roundnose. Do you know anything about that?

Yes, I have turned over a new leaf. I will not let them get to me. I'm not perfect and don't claim to be, but as long as there are guys like you and plinker 777 and many others who understand that, I can ignore them and still get help when I need it. You can't use a semicolon before a conjunction. Use should use a comma because there is a but separating the two clauses. That's OK though. I'm sure it does not make you a bad person. Try harder because it makes it hard to follow. And before you say anything, two words. Glass house.

From reading it sounds like the guide rod was caught on the frame somewhere or frame/barrel so that when you placed the slide back on it left it stuck out. Remove check guide rod orientation and reassemble.
If it cycles fine it probably got off the snag and into postion. But I would still check the orientation of the guide rod if it was me. You don't need to remove the guide rod when you remove the slide from the frame either if you dont want. The barrel link is what is keeping the slide on the frame.
