Pistol gripped Svt-40 stock

Something like this can be easily done:

I love shooting my SVT from the standing, its accurate and smooth... but when i have it in a supported position (ie. bench or prone) it feels like a toddler is punching me in the chickletts every time i fire a round. I have had a few buddies try it aswell so i could conferm its not me just "doing it wrong" and they have confermed my suspision, I think it could be a better (more comfortible ) shooting rifle if it had a heavier stock. I would love a stock that I could modify to allow a lower cheek weld and have no fear of damaging the original.
Has anyone thought about modifying an SKS timbersmith stock?

Are you shooting an SVT with an original stock? The AVT stock is a much heavier stock

There are comparison pics up somewhere here on CGN where you can see the difference between the two. If you can't find the thread, message me on Saturday and I'll do a side by side comparison of a couple of mine, but yes, the AVT stock is much thicker and heavier. You could try posting a WTB ad on the EE or ask Marstar if they have any. Lever Arms might too. Both just got in a crap load of SVT's and could have some garbage ones in the crates that are otherwise on good AVT stocks, you never know
