im going to be fairly blunt here, im not generally a fan of .22lr, its just never really done it for me. theres nothing wrong with it but for me it just lacks the feel i get with rimfire, but there is a time and place for everything and i think i sould get a rimfire for plinking in crown land, and also i always take out friends and work friends who have never shot before, i keep a .22lr kit for a pistol only for them to start off with so it makes sense to have a .22lr rifle for them to try out as well. i lie intoducing people to the sport and everyone gets addicted. first time ammo is on me, 2nd time ammo is on them lol.
ive had a eye on the 10/22 takedown since it was announced, but i questioned its reliability and accuracy, how is it in comparison to the other 10/22's?
irunguns has one in camo but its about $100 more than the black one at lebaron.
anbd would you saw go with the tactical with the 16.5" barrel (plus the flash supressor(like thats needed on rimfire..)or the stainless with the 18.5
next, i was looking at the HK G36 clone 10/22 that irunguns has.
i like that its folding and can become fairly compact, but will it work with the butler creak mags?
if i ever decided i wanted to throw it into a more standard stock, could i?
is it cheaper to buy a 10/22 and the g36 stock and put it together myself?
next up is the SR22, love the look, but again... $543.. seems steep for what it is
is it cheaper to buy a 10/22 and a conversion stock ? i think i heard archangel was a good clone to it or they make them for ruger?
other question...
i saw someone selling some very short carbon fiber barrels, are these legal to keep it non restricted? and can i pop one onto the 10/22 take down?
is there anything that the takedown can not do that the other ones can (comparability wise) if i ever decided to, could i put it in a standard stock (loosing the ability of it being a take down obviously.)
