7.62X39 bolt rifle

There's a Norinco you can find at the dealers of such things. Ruger also had a M77 so chambered for a time. Nice little rifles. You might find one on the EE if you get lucky.

I am aware of all these riles.

My question is where can I get one?

Watch the EE and see if one comes up, find one in the US and get I Run Guns to import it for you, or cross your fingers and wait and see if any dealers get one of them in and you get it before anyone else does, they are unobtainium right now.

Understand that many bolt rifles do not like the surplus ammo that has the lacquer coating. Most fired rounds have a tendency to stick in the chamber after a few rounds. If you shoot the copper washed surplus this problem is eliminated.

Knowing this in advance will save disappointment should you find a rifle.

My cz has no problem shooting the lacquor coated rounds. No sticking, etc.... The CZ has a slightly larger chamber and a .311 barrel, while I believe that the ruger and savage are .308, resulting in higher pressures... Could be part of the extraction problems...

My Ruger MkII in 7.62x39 usually shoots around 200rds before the extractions get sticky. If I don't clean the chamber at this point it will get stickier until the extractor starts to slip off of the rim before it can pull the casing out of the chamber. This is with lacquered rounds.

Wanstalls just had a small batch of the CZ bolt actions go through. They claim more are on the way in the near future, more info in their section of the forum. Keep your ear on the rail! If they got a CZ shipment, it's possible someone else is about to receive theirs as well. Single out a few site sponsors that stock CZ and check em often. Other than that, watch the EE.
