.38 Special Revolver, is there still love?

I would give up my autos before I gave up my revolvers!!!

My K-38 and its K-22 understudy scratch my revolver itch from time to time. Both are 5-screw frames.

^Agreed 110%! I own a very similar Colt Model 357 circa 1952. These older DA sixguns are wonderful handguns indeed.
 
Great to see some fine examples of .38's and other calibers.
I remember an OPP officer who sadly missed his issue Model 10 when they went to Sig 40 S&W's. He told me straight out he never felt outgunned with the .38.
 
No pics to show at the moment, but I have two .38 Special revolvers: a Smith pre M-10 Hand Ejector 4" and an old Colt Army Special. Both needed a trigger job and are now on their way home, maybe next week. The Colt was out of time and needed to be indexed manually each time it was fired, but all the same was surprisingly accurate. The hand was lengthened with some judicious welding, so I anticipate great things from the ole girl.

While not quite in the same league, I also have a 6" M-27 Smith, but an N frame more gun than needed for a .357, besides they should have only ever made 3.5" and 5" versions of it.

Revolvers were always cool. I like my semi autos too, but there will always be room in my safe for a few wheel guns.
 
I have several antique colt SAA's in 38 SPC. Love the caliber so cheap to reload and easy on the antiques.

I lost out on getting the prohib licence and because of it i will not own (unless the laws-OIC (Orders in Council) are changed. I would love to own a S&W Model 10 .38 or the 5 shot hammerless .38....Priceless
 
^Kind of differing reasoning when there are oodles of wonderfully accurate .38 Special revolvers that existed well before the rules changed and still in an unaltered state, continue to grace the handgun ranges all across Canada. Not to mention the extra option of restricted barrel length .357 Magnum sixguns that are another jump up the ladder in power with the nice feature of chambering .38 also. Sadly, I also believe these OICs will continue to exist here, regardless of thier well deserved unpopularity.
