Here's my 189? something I. Hollis & Sons Model No. 4 I inherited from my father, who inherited it from his Grandfather. I've never shot it but I think it's a .45

looks like a webley pryse in 455 webley. theres one for sale in the antiques thread to compare it to. shame your grandfather carved his initials in the grip.

Cool Thanks! I will check that out!. What's strange is I have NO idea who's initials those are, because they aren't anyone I can think of in my family's initials...Maybe they were the owner of the gun before he got it? I have no idea....
 
The ones I saw for sale were fairly similar but the release buttons are different on mine, one on each side that you have to squeeze to open the chamber.
 
I just couldn't help myself, I had to own one of these. Perhaps not the prettiest revolver but the epicness....oh ya, it's epic :cool:. (At least that's what my kids tell me.....)
