Reloading for dummies

A Lee loader is the die, it's everything in one and works with a hammer.
Components being bullets, brass, powder and primers

Buy a couple of reloading manuals and start reading up, I started with the Lyman 49th edition others like the abc's of reloading.

If you have the money, and like good equipment, I would recommend the Redding Big Boss kit. It comes with everything but dies. Read the manual on reloading then go buy dies and components, and give her hell.

I bought a rockchucker supreme kit as a starting point to reloading, and now 50,000 rounds later I am still using it with no issues what so ever...

Broad question indeed, a one liner asking others to walk miles for you...

I'll be sport and say this. If you are serious about it, your first piece of equipment is a reloading manual. Spawn-Inc gave you 2 excellent suggestions. Read one, it will answer your question better than us guessing your actual needs (ammo consumption rate, budget available, precision required, etc.). Often neglected at first but do also plan for space, storage (powders, primers, tools) and a well lighted workbench in your list.

Reloading is easy, fun and rewarding when done correctly. Do yourself a favour, build on knowledge, not incomplete info read from buddy on the Net: just like trees like to jump at skiers, propellants (powders) and high explosives (primers) have their own life too...

Well - I think you better understand the possible consequence of a dummy mistake. For one, if you're not particularly literate, then reloading aint for you.

Do you have a link or picture for this lee loader so i know what im looking for
There's a great picture AND instructions in the book "Modern Reloading". My go to reloading manual, but I'm a Lee Precision fan.

so, in answer to you original post...

Minimum required ... Modern Reloading, The ABC's of Reloading. Then worry about equipment... And Lee has loaders in all 3 of your preferred cartridges.

however, a link can be found here:

GOOGLE. Takes 10 seconds, even for the old guys. Or do you want us to come and work up your rounds and shoot them for you as well?

If you're near Edmonton, Wholesale Sports in the south has a bunch of Lee 50th Anniversary loading kits for something like $150. Buy that, buy your dies, buy components, buy a loading manual and you should be set. Or maybe the kit comes with the Lee book, I'm not sure.

My recommendation is to have at least two manuals, one from the company that makes the power, and another from the bullet company. Also, Hodgdon has a lot of info available on their website.

That's great to hear. I'm looking at buying that exact press and hearing this kind of solid satisfaction with a product goes a long way. Thanks gpracer!

I was asking for a view of your setup, google is so impersonal. To you and the clearence diver, if i wanted input from random people, thats when I would have used google. My one liner could have been answered with a one liner, like it was, a lee classic loader. But thankyou for your input none the less
