Zeiss conquest .....never again...............

I'm curious as to what Zeiss dealer in Canada you bought this scope from and what did they do to assist you? I see your from Van. Is. and the Zeiss rep from BC/Alta. was just here in my office and he has not heard anything about your problem. Phil.

This sort of thing is a prime reason my hunting rifles tend to also have iron sights (sighted in). Or at least an older back up scope (also pre sighted in).

GOOD NEWS,
I got a phone call this morning from Gentec Canada ( Zeiss Canada )
Unfortunately my scope (4.5-14x44 is discontinued)
But they will replace it right now by the
Zeiss conquest HD5 3-15x42mm with the same reticle Z800.
The Gentleman who I dealt with was able to reassure me and the
Riflescope should be in my place very shortly.
Thanks for your support!

That's good you have a new scope on the way. I would have just ran to the store and bought a Bushnell Trophy. Last year when the new Elite's had huge rebates I picked up a 3-9 for a backup for such situations.

This is why I don't like hunting rifles with no iron sights.
I bring a back-up rifle, but if I'm out in the field and my scope dies, I have the irons as backup.

Good to hear. You have seemed very reluctant throughout this thread to answer the question where you bought the scope. If you did buy it from an approved Canadian Dealer I suspect this could have been taken care of much sooner by just going back to them but regardless of where you bought it, I'm glad you found resolution.

There is no point to mention where I bought it, because I simply don't remember.
One of the thing being in the Forces, you move a lot.
From Wainright, Valcatraz, Dwyer, Comox, Winnipeg, Connaught, Arkansas, North Carolina, New York...
Pick one.
By dealing directly with the Company, I saved the useless third party.
I simply followed the manufacture instruction as per the link joint in this message.
Yes I will ear: You should have done this, done that. Or : "With us" or "our store" to make them look good, or make the other one look bad.
Fact is, in the past I have done that with very unsuccessful results.
The warranty is manage by the company not by the dealer.
