There are hints placed respectively in front of their ammo boxes, but the rest of the bunch are a random mixed bag, the grey haired bunch should shine.

Oh boy..Ill give the ones I'm pretty sure I know (from left to right)
1) .30-06 sprg
5) .32-30 win
7) .45-70 govt
8) .30-30 win
9) .257 roberts

In front of the 32 S&W im thinking is the 32 S&W and in front of the 25 ACP box again i think is the 25 acp. Im out to lunch on some of these things...

Behind #8 (30-30Win) is an OLD 32 S&W Long.
To the right rear of #9 (257Bob) is an OLD 25 Auto.

Nice collection of old cartridges.
I am always on the hunt for 32 S&W Long. Care to sell me that box? :)

Cheers.

Are you sure that #5 is a 45-70? It looks like a 38-56 to me. From the photo, at least, #5 appears to have a smaller diameter than #6 (40-65).

The case says 45/70, but I agree, it isn't straight like normal 45/70, it has a taper to it. so it could possibly be a reload. I have a half dozen of em and they're all the same

My guess is that someone used 45-70 cases to form cases for a 38-56, which is the standard procedure for obtaining 38-56 brass. If you mic the diameter of the bullet and it turns out to be somewhere around .376 to .378, then it is most likely a 38-56 round made from a 45-70 case.
