Arctic Warfare project

That G22 is awesome!

I scored a nice Arktis DPM bag for mine. Just in time as the spot where I shoot will be snowed in soon and I will have to break out the snowshoes to get in there.

Does anyone know if this rifle is still available at cabelas?

It was as of a few days ago, I didn't see it but my brother was there, snapped a pic for me. It has a rattle can paint job, incorrect muzzle brake that looks like it was installed by a monkey and look like it was used somewhat rough. Considering the asking price is higher than a brand new AW i wouldn't touch it.

I think I can pick up my rifle from the gunsmith tomorrow, so in anticipation I've been scouring the Internet for cool AW pictures. Here is some of what I found.

This L96A1 is amazing looking in these pics. Note that it is marked "PM" (Precision Marksman) not "AW", and "90" which is obviously 1990. My own rifle is marked "03 AW" and then the serial number.

And here is another one of those exploded photos I love. Where is the rear sight though?

This photo is so "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare". Rifle is an L115A1 (AWM in .338 Lap Mag) in British service. The badge on his helmet identifies him as a member of The Royal Irish Regiment. The flash on his arm means (I think) "The Rangers"/2nd Battalion. This is almost assuradly a photo from Iraq circa 2003-onward.

It is not Iraq. Multicam pattern combat uniform did not come into British army service until 2011 and outside of Iraq deployment time. It will be Afghanistan. I served alongside this unit.

They were my overmatch when working in a LAD with PWRR in afghan in 2008. They were also force protection for camp bastion as well whilst I was there. Did a couple of Sanger duties with them. Good bunch of guys.
