That's about when and for what I bought mine for...and not really knowing the market, I sold it 9 months ago for the same price

Do what I did, buy a nice 91/30 with a strong bore, cut the stock and handguard back, reform and cap the tip with the original hardware and just have the barrel cut back.

It's a fun project and it comes out to just under $200 total after buying the rifle and cutting the barrel and recrown etc
