Pics of my wife's Double Ds

once upon a time I have a "D" collection , I had 4 of them but had to sell them and they were easy to sell , there will always be a demand for them bcos they don't make them anymore.

the "D" were my favorite SKS.
Nice Ds
Yes the Ds are my favourite also.

Nice guns. If you got them for a reasonable price you should be pleased, they are going for some very unreasonable prices on the EE lately. These are, at best, $400 guns simply because of the rarity, but lately ads for $600-800 have been appearing. I certainly hope sellers aren't obtaining those kinds of figures.

There is one member here who occasionally posts Russian and/or Chinese SKS rifles in the EE that he modified to take AK mags, essentially a homemade D model. Lists at $450. I don't have a burning desire for one but given the work involved on a single one-off, I'd pay that.

My first center fire rifle was a Sks-d. I brought it home on my bicycle, after my mother told the local gun store that it was OK for me to order. She was the only one with a FAC. I used to take my bike and gun to the local range. I was probably 15-16. I sold it many years ago.

Yeah I didn't like some of the prices I was quoted when I was looking.
Thankfully I did get them for 400 to 450 mark.

The D Model with the bayonet is quite rare - the SKS 'D' was not made for military use, therefore most were produced without bayonets.

I always heard it was done to get past the US AWB, but ended up being redundant after Clinton banned all imported firearms from China anyway.

First thing I did when I bought my SKS-D (seems so long ago now) was to replace the bayo lug.
