Where to buy kel tec sub 2000

If you plan on ANY aftermarket parts, & factor in those costs,($8-900) I would seriously take a look at a Non-Restricted Beretta CX 4 Storm. $1000-$1100 New.(Ya, a little higher Overall) May find lower on the EE. BUT really 10 x the gun & it already includes 2 mags & all the rails you would ever need! .. Just an option. for the literal price difference, you would be doing yourself a favor Compared to a sub 2000! :D

Cheerz .. ~

Be careful, there are threads on here about known problems with the Sub 2000. My Sig version is flawless, however. These rifles seem to be harder to find than a few months ago. There is an ebb and flow of stock in firearms. Sometimes they're plentiful, other times there are scarce. Kel-Tec shipments seem to be spotty at best.

Sub2000 doesn't need all the silly aftermarket parts. Mine has a $30 rubber tube cheek rest from Tacticool and a home made bottom rail for an AFG and that's all it's going to get. Quadrails are for GiJoe wanna-be's and does nothing for the rifle other than make it heavy. How much crap does a person need to hang off their gun anyway?
Everyone complains about the sights but they work and I can hit pop cans at 50yds with them so they are good enough for me.
10x the gun? Maybe 2-3x, maybe even 5x just to avoid an argument, but the sub2000 goes bang every time and is surprisingly accurate, it's non restricted and folds into a backpack. What more do you need?
Would I trust my life to it? No. Do I have fun with it for very little cost? Yes.
To me I don't see the point in having an expensive pistol caliber carbine, I had a Vector for a while then realized that it didn't do anything I couldn't do better with a different rifle. It was fairly cheap to shoot when I ran reloads but it just didn't do it for me. The Sub2000 is the same but instead of $2400 into it I have just over $600. I can live with that.

If I was going to spend $1000 on a NR PCC I would probably be looking at the TD, it's offered in more calibers and sounds like it's a good little carbine.

One of these days I hope to be at the range when someone there has a CX-4 for me to try though, I've always been a little interested in them.

I agree that the Sub 2000 doesn't need all these accessories... it's a 'backpack folder' and once you over accessorize it may lose that lightweight folding advantage. Sights aren't that great but can be upgraded on the cheap. It is an accurate rifle when you sight it in, even with the stock sights.

The EE has at least 2 Ive seen recently

Used Keltec's need to be priced cheap.....the lifetime warranty is not transferable and there is an above average chance that you may need warranty support at some time.
It sucks that in Canada that support can be very slow, but I've been told by Keltec that Canadian owners with a receipt will get taken care of.....even if it takes a long time.

I got mine for $999 New from a site sponsor, & I picked it up, so no shipping, I Do like the Kel Tec - for $500,I will probably buy one(if found), $600 Plus tax(only One mag)..so almost $700 new..cost of extra mag 40ish...for what you get, Apples to Apples, The CX 4 Storm, you COULD bet your life on! for only a few hundred more, stock to stock price.. & the Kel Tec stock config. has way less options, pretty plain Jane-ish, but yes, it does fold.

No clue why you are comparing a Beretta rifle that is $400 more expensive to a Sub2k... Unless your CX4 folds and can fit into a backpack, you can't compare them.

By the way, the NR CX4 is sold out everywhere and the next shipment has a substantial price increase - there goes your math.

I paid $600 for mine with tax and I really couldn't care less if it came with one or 2 mags, as you can see I have plenty as I also have a Glock 17 which is why I chose the Glock version Sub2000. The ones above the rifle are actually G20 mags but I still have plenty of G17 mags.
For $500 you would buy one but not for $600 yet you are talking like going up to $1000 is no big deal?
I don't buy pistol caliber carbines to save my life. If I need a short rifle for that I'll grab my 12 inch AR or my 9.75 inch AR in 300BLK. I definitely trust those to go PEW PEW PEW every time.

Thanks guys for all the reply's really got me thinking , the main reason why I wanted the sub 2000 was cause it folded great for back packing ! I'll have to check out the cx4.

Don't let people sway you from what you want. Sub2k's come in 9mm and .40, haven't read about many buying the .40.

If you want a higher quality pistol carbine, a JR Carbine is a real improvement, at $899 retail or used on the EE. JRC's take all AR15 accessories and hardware too. 1st batch of NR CX4's are sold out and the next batch is $1100 + tax. CX4 is a good rifle, but it's $500 more than what you are looking at. Same guy up there is badmouthing Sub2k's all over CGN... I have a Sub2k (Sig 226 mags/I own a 226) and it's flawless.

Buy whatever you like, non-restricted pistol carbines are just plain fun. Good luck.

KEL TECS Suck..face it, Beretta CX 4 Storm Carbine IS yes, 5x better. & a Theuron Defence is wayy better then a JR. But again ..so WHO..? exactly is the "Same guy up there is badmouthing Sub2k's all over CGN" You own a gun that sucks.. face it. & you cuss one for offering advice toward another 9mm..but then you tell them to go for an 'Improved' carbine..for only $899..w0w.. Not only do you defie the exact same thing you are being tributary against, & also thrown in a total BUL SH*T statement to go along with it, you contradict yourself, & any credibility along with it. Your MATH sucks..Period.
