Did anyone else happen to see page 8 of Wolverine's January newsletter? They have CZ 455 American combo kits in. $550, comes with both a .22LR barrel and a .17HMR barrel as well as "everything you need to make the caliber change". I am assuming that this means both magazines. At least I hope it would.

Assuming that the gun comes with both magazines, it actually looks like a pretty good deal. I have not owned a CZ rimfire or .17HMR but both have been on the list... This may be a good chance to kill two birds with one stone.

Not to invite any criticism or snide remarks, but I have one each of .17 HMR, .22, and 22WMR CZ 455 rifles. The barrel change idea is a great one. Ideal for gopher defence. For that price, how can one go wrong....

Indeed. Out of my 452 I'm getting 2600-2660 fps *chronograph 10' from muzzle* The 455 will do a little less due to the shorter barrel.

might be faster with the shorter barrel........unless your burning powder all the way to the muzzle your just adding bullet friction, funny thin with rimfires is that they perform better with shorter barrels, but we are brainwashed into believing longer barrels are better......and for open sites that hold true due to the longer sight picture, not so much for velocity and accuracy

One way to find out. Someone send me a hmr barrel lol
