Hey Folks,

I'm thinking hard about getting a Glock 17 Gen 4 to add to my collection but can't afford to buy one without selling one of what I have.

I have a beautiful CZ 75B in satin nickel with I love but something gotta go so this is it.

Both are excellent guns no question. I really do prefer all steel and ergonomics of the CZ but the dark side keeps on calling me lol.

Do I give in and join the dark side or what.

I'm a Glock owner, but I have to ask, why? CZ's are very nice guns, SP01's (and variants) 85's, ect. What do you plan on doing with the Glock that the 75 can't do for you? I understand if the honeymoon period is over, and if that's the case, get what you want, but don't disregard the CZ.
You may also want to look at the gen 3's instead.

Nothing at all. I just have a bad habit of wanting something different and not being satisfied with my purchases :( I have only shot it twice because of the damn snow and cold too lazy to go to the range. I actually had a Glock 22 Gen4 which I sold because I really disliked the recoil/muzzle flip of the .40 and polymer combo. I haven't shot a Glock 17 but I understand its a lot more tame. I've gripped the Gen 3 and it hurts the back of my hand so Gen3 is out...

Fair enough. I think to a large extent many of us are the same way. That said, have you had a look at the SP01 Shadow?

Glock 17 Gen4 = $749.95
SP01 Shadow = $848.99
Around the same price point, so it for sure worth a peak.
I'm not trying to sway you from the Glock, like mentioned above I'm an owner of one, but I have to say, the SP01 is a better overall firearm for Canadian uses.
Many may disagree, and that's fine.

Oh my god the blasphemy, why oh why even consider such foolery!
Keep you cz75 till you're 65 years old then give it to your grand child.
I dunno whats going on over there, but i think you've been abducted by aliens and brainwashed into liking glock. No other explanation for this...
Or trade it for a shadow? Or sell it and buy one of the fancy target ones like the shadowline, shadowmate, shadow 2012 orange (i have that one) or the czechmate.

Based on that info, I fear you will regret your decision if you go trought with it.

If you had more experience with the CZ and didn't like it very much and if you had ANY experience at all with a Gen 4 G17 then I would say go for it. But it's far from being the case so no, bad idea.

Don't do it! The Glock 17 will still have more snap than an all metal pistol leaving me to believe you wouldn't like it either. Also the CZ 75 in satin nickel has been discontinued so if you sell it chance's of you finding that finish again, used of course, if you so desire will be slim. It is now more collectable. I have a 85 combat in satin nickel in addition to a couple of other cz's and have shot a Glock numerous times. To me, the CZ is better.

Just for the reason of availability, you should keep the CZ. You can always find a Glock anywhere anytime later after you shoot the CZ more. Can you go and rent one?

Where are you located? I'm sure there is someone in your area with a Glock 17. But a couple boxes of ammo and take your CZ out for a playdate. No one can tell you if you're going to like it, as the proof is in the shooting.

I have not had the oppertunity to handle the CZ but i currently own a Glock 17 Gen 4. The fit and finish on my Glock is not that great but its a "battle" pistol, and it functions 100 percent and its very accurate when i do my part. I would handle and inspect personally at a dealer before buying another Glock.
