Should I sell my CZ 75b for a Glock 17?

I have not had the oppertunity to handle the CZ but i currently own a Glock 17 Gen 4. The fit and finish on my Glock is not that great but its a "battle" pistol, and it functions 100 percent and its very accurate when i do my part. I would handle and inspect personally at a dealer before buying another Glock.

Please explain why you feel that the fit and finish is not that great. Of all the complaints that I have heard about Glock, this has never been one of them.

I would not part my CZ for any other pistol. I made my mistake once but will never do it again.
My SP01 shoot perfect right out of the box and I got spoil. My Glock took me a lot of practice and ammo to keep up my CZ. I am not argue which is better gun here but CZ is hands down for me. Period!
I would save up for the Glock and keeping both if I were you. They are great pistol.

The CZ is one of those guns that you will regret you sold.

Stick with your CZ

Never in 1 billion years wold this thought cross my mind. No.

I own both and love both .. time out, count to ten and wait till you have the money..

I'd keep it.

I also have both and I would stick with the CZ over a Glock any day. My recommendation would be to save up so you can own both.

No. Keep the CZ, save up and buy the Glock.

All of the above for me, too.

NAA.

I very much regret selling my CZ. I will have another. I got a SIG 226 and it is nice but it is not a CZ. No pistol has ever fit my hand better than the CZ. My pistol of choice now is the FEG P9-M I got last year from QUESTAR. It is very much like my military service pistol.

You sound like my buddy who can't keep a girlfriend for more than 3 months - all of em fine as heck too, but can't stick with one, always looking for something new. Then again nothing wrong with that.

I digress. You only shot the CZ twice? C'mon man, what don't you like about it? If you didn't like the Glock 22, your not going to like the Glock 17 either. There's not that much of a difference IMO.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the CZ pistols, and I love my Glock. But if you like your CZ75b, I'd keep it and save up for the Glock. There's a steep learning curve to mastering a Glock trigger. It's quite possible that you'll seriously regret the trade on your first couple sessions out to the range.

Having both I can tell you there's some differences you have to pay attention and decide what is most important for you.

The first and foremost difference is the trigger. Although you can have improve your Glock's trigger with nice polishing or even spending some money to handle the over travel (or lots replacing it completely), it most likely won't turn it to glass rod breaking trigger. Is this important? Most likely not, and as Cancer wrote there's a learning curve and you will master it over time. So, boils down to preference and in my case I prefer a crisp, glass rod breaking trigger.

Secondly, comes ergonomics. Buying a Gen 4 Glock helps to tweak it to the size of your hand but the grip angle is different from the CZ, so you will need some time to get used to it. Also, being mainly metal made, CZs are heavier than Glocks and it seems to me the recoil is a little bit smoother, which my wife (she hates the Glock) and I prefer.

From the accuracy perspective, both guns are more accurate than me but in my hands the CZ does a better job shooting tighter groups. It could be related to the weight (better recoil control) and the way the slide is attached to the frame. Glock has a couple of contact points whereas the CZ is continuous.

Last but not least, accessories. Well, here Glock is the winner hands down. You will be able to complete transform (to a cost) your gun much easily than a CZ (which also is quite customizable). However, it boils down to your decision about spending money tweaking the gun. For some, customizing a gun brings as much pleasure as shooting it :)

Being honestly, my Glock 17 was the first handgun I ever used, so it has a place in my heart and I am keeping it due sentimental reasons. The CZ seems a better fit for both my wife and I.

Gents thanks all for your input. I've decided to keep my CZ at least until I can get a chance to shoot Glock 17 or possibly "upgrade" to a Shadow down the road.

I would most likely regret it if I sell it for a Glock having owned one not too long ago... Out of all the pistols, CZs are the most accurate and comfy out of box for me by far.

Dark side has to wait for now :)
