Give it a few months for when these people realize they didn't actually need or want this rifle, should be lots to be had on the EE by then for all the non Mil folk who feel left out.

im in for some reviews though !

I received mine yesterday.

First impressions? The stock feels...meh. It's plastic. It doesn't feel as cheap as the Norinco M305 plastic stock, but it's plastic nonetheless. The finish is good. There is already some marring and discoloration on the business end of the bolt and by the receiving end of the receiver. No big deal though. The action isn't as smooth as I was expecting. It feels like a $600 gun so far. I certainly wouldn't compare it to the Tikka T3 Hunter I recently had the pleasure of fondling. Having said that, I can't wait to go try it out.

Upon taking a look at the base, it's engraved with EGW 109150. According to some Googling, people are saying it's EGW Part #4100, which is the 0 MOA base. This doesn't really matter to me at the moment because I probably won't be shooting any further than 500 for a while.

I must say, having fiddled with it for a few minutes, the bolt doesn't impress me. It's got quite a bit of play in it and it jams up. It's not smooth at all. I find even my Savage Mark II is smoother than this. It's starting to feel less like the $600 rifle I first unboxed.

Don't know what the above are talking about, I got mine today and it is just as I expected. Mine looks great! no scratches (not a mark on it), the stock is firm and very workable. Fit and finish are great. Bolt is smooth and should work fine. Trigger feels great..about 3-4 lbs out of the box...very crisp. Should shoot very well. More to follow once I get it to the range.....should be soon. For a production gun this is better than I thought. Will know better after my Smith has a look at it.
Will comment after a session at the range.

Mine showed up today, immediately began fondling it after getting home from work. So far I'm really liking it, the stock Is decent, I like the but pad, other than though, it's nothing overly special. Not sure if I will leave it as it is or get something different. Other than that, the action feels very nice, trigger is great, very clean and crisp. Haven't noticed any blemishes or anything on it. Definitely happy with the purchase.

Here's the obligatory pic. Had a bipod and a millet 6-25x56 laying around so tossed it on there, would like to eventually put a vortex on instead.

My credit card was charged last Thursday, but I still have not any confirmation that it has been shipped. Mind you, they are a busy bunch so I'll just hang on until the end of the week before I start bugging them. Patience is a virtue, so I've been told.

I received mine last week and I found the bolt to be very smooth, just how it should be. No problems at all with the finish. Now just have to be patient with the weather to cooperate so I can try it out.

Whooo Hooo! Canada Post just delivered. Oh darn I have to wait tell my son gets home from school (I pickup), I promised he could open the box, I think we will do a youtube review, will post those details later.
Thanks again to Savage & All at SFRC.

PS, See post 400-401 I'm liking it!!

Does this:

Apply to US Vets, expat'ed to Canada w/ valid DD214?
You were the first ones savage offered this deal to in the U.S. so I would say yes, put in the order and fill out the form, send it in. It won't take long to find out but I would be very surprised and disappointed if they turned a vet down.

What's everyone scoping this rifle with? I'm thinking Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10 or 4-16.

PS: received mine a few days ago, pretty impressed. There is a little bit of wiggle room for the bolt and it gets hung up if I cycle the action too softly. Other than that, I find the quality quite nice. Others say they don't like the stock, but it's everything it should be and nothing it doesn't need to be in my opinion. The barrels so thick, if you run out of ammo you can beat someone with it like a club, haha.
