Glock 21 G4 VS M&P 45

The only time there possible debate between Glock and M&P is in 9mm.

Any other caliber the M&P owns the Glock significantly.

I've had G21, 23, 22, 17, 26, etc - the only Glock I own currently is a 19...

The other question you have to ask yourself , do you plan or are you thinking you might buy a pistol carbine ? I have my G17 & a JR carbine , G21 & Kriss Vector (same magazines ). Just a thought .

Still on the fence with these 2. I have not seen any MP 45's in stock anywhere so it may be a moot point. One thing I've been reading about on the internet is the Glock chambers are not as well supported in the 45, and I reload my used brass so it may be a factor. Would be interested if anyone had any experiences good/bad about reloading 45 for G21.

Can't comment on reloads for the 21 but can comment on 9mm reloads. If the brass is in good shape the glock will shoot its own reloads. BUT!!! it is not 100% reliable. I had a few failure to feeds and rounds stuck in the chamber in -15 temperatures. You can buy aftermarket barrels that are fully supported if you reload your brass. Just checked the Lone Wold website and don't see a Gen 4 45acp barrel but im sure its only a matter of time. Commercially reloaded ammo like BDX works fine in my Glock. As far as ergo's go Im with the majority here and despite being a Glock owner I'll admit the M&P just feels better in the hand. Mind you Ive only shot 9mm and .40 in both platforms.

I carried a S&W M&P 40 for work and the grip is very comfortable however I own a Glock 21, in fact this is my second Glock 21, my first was a Gen 2. My only beef with the S&W is the trigger is a little vague which is an easy fix with the Apex kit but the trick is finding one for the .45. The only mistake you will make is picking one based on someone else's opinion, hold them both, see how they point I'm your hand, they are like shoes, just because it fits one person doesn't mean they will fit you. Both are excellent pistols.
