Cadex Chassis Systems: Post your pics, questions and answers here!

The Field Strike price point is the kicker here compared to the Lite Strike!

Looking at the Cadex on-line store .... looks like it's available!

The models I handled on the floor were very nice. The mag release stood out to me as really clean cut. I like the idea of being able to swap AR stocks across via the field strike or field core.

But: you look at the lite strike and it seems to me that you're getting 90% of the dual strikes' capability in a lighter more affordable package. Have you tinkered with a dual strike stock before? They're pretty cool. If I wanted to shoot with a monopod&bipod that'd be the unit for me.

I wasn't a big fan of how high the scope base was over the bore on the dual, looks the the Light Strike will be a great chassis.

Does anyone have any pics or info about the "V-block" or Bedding surface for the action on these chassis, I was told that they use a different system then most with rollers or something???

We use rollers as you said. This system has been developed with the US Army and tests proved to be an extremely effective system to reduce vibration waves.

Ah, so you're saying it's better proportion in general. I agree with that, the original seems unnecessarily "bloated", without serving any real purpose. The lite version is certainly more slim.

One of he reason for the big size tube of the DUAL model was to be able to fit really short barrels equipped with sound suppressors. With this tube, you have enough room to fit an extremely short barrel installed with a can and night vision capability while staying really compact for urban sniping.

I am not saying your dual strike chassis is a copy. Copy was not the correct term, I apologize. But perhaps you could better explain how the Urban Strike and Field Strike differ from an MDT with a magpul PRS or CTR on an LSS chassis? Not asking to you bash another product or company, just highlight the differences. I am no Engineer, if it looks like a bird, flieslike a bird and sings like a bird, well it must be a bird....

I am sure there are many others that are curious.

One of the differences I spotted right away were pointed out by Mustang:

I was considerign the tac-21 but I am not sold on how the bolt is captive and having to remove the buttstock to remove the bolt. I understand from looking at videos that it isn't difficult to do so, I am just not sold on the design/idea. For this reason, I am thinking of picking up a Field Strike for my 5r. Once you put a stock and a grip on the tac-21, it isn't any cheaper.

Don't think I saw these on the MDT unit.

That makes sense. Too bad us law-abiding citizens cannot enjoy the use of suppressors.

I don't want to start with pros & cons... but let's point some differences out so that you could understand better...

Top rail
Cadex: Bolted directly on the action
Tac-21: Machined on the receiver

Bedding style:
Cadex: Uses roller design
Tac-21: Uses V shape

Safety position:
Cadex: Standard positioning
Tac-21: Enclosed in the receiver

Butt stock adapter
Cadex: Easy access to the bolt for cleaning
Tac-21: Need to remove the butt stock for cleaning
LSS: Can't fit an adjustable fixed stock like the Magpul PRS for example

Threading
Cadex: Stainless helicoils press fitted
Tac-21: Threaded directly in the aluminum

Detachable base
Cadex: Can be removed for trigger maintenance without losing the zero. Multi-caliber removable internal sleeves on the L/A models to allow 3.715", 3.775" and 3.850" CIP. No need to remove trigger for installation.
Tac-21: Can't access the trigger without moving the action into the receiver. Fit only the magazine length that you chose when you buy. Need to remove the trigger for installation.

Accessory rails
Cadex: Can't mount accessories on the top rail, only at 3, 6, and 9 O'clock
TAC-21: Can mount also on the top

colors
Cadex: Black, Tan, OD Green & Pink
Tac-21: Black & FDE

Again, I'll let everybody judge of their pros & cons since nobody has the same needs and preferences.

Best regards

Patrice, do you guys have any pics of the strike lite with a barrelled action and scope? Would like to see what these look like all set up.

Also, will the strike lite accept a oversized recoil lug on the rem 700 model. Extra inleting for Jewell trigger?
