**** this has been this way since November 15th I am currently at 120 days.
*** I have two criminal records
*** one from 2001 , fail to stop for police officer and dangerous driving. The other is from dec 2008 uttering threats via text message . Both were summary charges and received probation and community service.
**** took anti depressants in 2011 for 6 months because I was living in another province and became home sick. Wasn't suicidal or hospitalized.
*** I was honest in full detail on my application and was told 2 weeks ago it would be another two months. Today it is February 9
i am appyling for non restricted pal.
does anyone have a similar situation with personal history questions?
i don't mind the wait, its the not knowing if it'll get refused or not that is the hard part.

Seems like people's applications are moving along pretty steadily to me. My restricted PAL application was received on Jan. 13th. All interviews were completed this week. Just waiting on the mandatory 28 day period now.

Hmm maybe. I just assumed it was 28 working days. Either way, I just logged into the website and 'License Issued'. That's 22 working days / 30 days total from the day they received the application until issued. Is that some sort of record? I didn't even hound them. One call the first time I tried to login because I thought I was doing it wrong. One call to verify the day after my CC was charged - they told me to call back in a few days for an interview. One call for my interview.

Sweet. I came into the application process expecting the worst but the whole process was actually just fine. Every person I spoke with on the phone was very friendly and helpful. The timeline for processing was fantastic (assuming it get's mailed out in a timely fashion). The only part I found difficult was the interview. The lady doing my interview was francophone and I had to have her repeat a couple of the questions...no big deal, just a bit nerve racking at the time.

I completely agree. My sister (one of my references) had a francophone but she said it went well. Overall I say the only downfall was the wait time even tho I think mine went quite fast.

For those who RECEIVED calls from the CFC for Reference/interview, what does the number/caller ID say? That way I can let my references know that it's a call they should pick up even though it's a number they don't recognise.

Weee.. Status updated late into the night of my application has completed initial process and is now in progress. What time zone are the office hours listed for? Atlantic or all Canadian ones?
