Is it just me or are any of you guys starting to feel like there's a bit of an ammo shortage starting to happen. I have two local dealers I buy from most of the time. The one dealer is out and says she can't get anymore at the moment from her supplier. The other says it's getting harder and he's currently selling bricks for 30.00
I'm going to check at canadian tire and wal-mart tomorrow if it looks like more of the same. I think I'm gonna buy a few bricks. I've been reading that the 22 lr supply on the American side is getting pretty low I'm starting to think we might be in for some of the same.

It does appear that there may be a shortage on the way . The local Wal-Mart here has been out of all bulk pack 22lr for awhile now , but do have some small 50 packs left . I recently purchased ten bulk packs at the local Canadian tire because the firearms manager said they were having a very hard time getting 22 ammo now.......

I just find certain brands of ammo you can't find... You can find other 22lr some of it is more money some of it is crappy ammo I just can't find what my rifles like.

I have heard in the US they are hording ammo. They are out of stock of everything and hard to find. Not sure if it is because of upcomming gun laws, or people just want to be prepared.

Here we go again..."the sky is falling!! there's an ammo shortage!!!"

I haven't seen any shortage yet. My LGS has always had bricks for 30$ tho but Walmart in reddeer has Winchester 555 bricks for 21$

Ammo was just on sale at Wholesale Sports, and I mean %30 off.

As such, I have over ten thousand rounds of 22 and various surplus cartridges.

It never goes bad, so why keep such low inventory?

I have been trying to get CCI Standard Velocity (Vancouver) for several months but in the meantime I have been using CCI'S " AR TACTICAL" COPPER PLATED 40 grain @1200FPS.
The downside of the replacement ammo is that 375 rounds cost somewhat more than 500 SV's. I have a couple of new to me .22LR and haven't been able to compare the the two but hot damn this "Tactical" stuff is working really well with both so far.

I saw some once when I was kid. It was real cheap too... then the panic set in. People thought that for some reason they all needed 20,000 rounds "just in case". You didn't see it much after that.

Canadian tire here has a very poor ordering set up for ammo..walmart..that's flippin a coin any time of the year lol
Its not exactly the prime season for them to sell a lot ..so that don't help.
I haven't looked, theres something about 5 feet of snow , that makes me want to stay home lol

Oddly enough, the local gun/sports stores here are low on ammo/variety, but the local Walmart and CTs are full of .22lr, including bulk packs. I picked up two last week.

Yah I've noticed a shortage in the vancouver area in 22lr, all velocities and 22 winmag as well. Although i have plenty of 22lr in storage to wait till they replenish stocks somehow.

that being said if anyone wants 22winmags dynapoints i have about 6 boxes of 50 that i can sell
