Here is a short description , and I believe you have to have a membership in the DCRA / BCRA to compete. and no Muzzle brakes allowed.

◦F-CLASS TR (FTR)
223 or 308 (or military equivalent 5.56 or 7.62 NATO) using any bullet weight.
Maximum 8.25Kg weight of rifle and all attachments
Any Sight (iron or optical)
Can be used with Bipod and rear bag or sling, no front Benchrest style shooting rests allowed
Any safe trigger weight
Matches are fired single-shot, no loaded magazines

◦F-CLASS OPEN
Any Non-Magnum calibre up to 8mm
Any sight (Optical or Iron)
Maximum weight 10 Kg or 22 lbs (combined weight of rifle and all accessories that recoil with the rifle)
Bipod or front rest (Forestock cannot be wider that 76mm if used with a front rest)
Any safe trigger

Can anyone join? Are there caliber restrictions?
What's the cost? Etc...

Thanks

There are no restrictions relating to magnums. Any caliber up to 8mm is ok but no muzzle breaks. The restriction relating to magnums is only a local thing in Mission because a couple of people don't like the noise under the roof and does not apply to this match and location.

All info should be up as soon as I get home in a few days.

The descriptions were taken rite off the BCRA website, Mission? We follow the format as described on the BCRA website , Check out the disciplines section on the BCRA website

Sorry but I wrote the rules for the match. There will be no restrictions on caliber with the exception of those restricted by the military for the range. Chilliwack is certified for a 338 Lapua Mag.

This match follows the ICFRA rules and then the DCRA. The restriction is maximum caliber of 8mm and no muzzle breaks for F-TR or Open as long as the cartridge/bullet combo is within the range template. In most cases the short mags fall within the template but some don't for Ottawa.

It is my understanding that the Mission issue was related to noise complaints by just a couple of people who complained about the use of short mags under the roof and is a local issue.

This match rotates throughout the provinces and follows the format established for many years.

We are trying to be as inclusive as we can for this match and not restrict anybody who wants to come. Short mags are an integral part of F-Open and many international teams use them. The 7mm WSM, and SAUM are very popular while the 300 mags are growing as people learn to shoot them well. I do not know of anybody using the 300 Winchester Mag in competition anymore.

I am back now from Phoenix and working on the stuff for the match. The website should be up and running by Monday according to Sean, however, if you PM me, I will get anyone the entry form to them if they need it right away.
