Back to original question: I own a guide gun & tried it! It does do something to the bore: It makes a hell of a mess down there! Accuracy is that of a rock being thrown at a bush chicken from 50 yards. Read online about a guy who made an external choke for the end of the barrel; but who wants an extra 4 or 5 inches hanging off their guide gun? That's why you bought a carbine; it's short! Extraction was hit or miss with mine, so carry a stick to knock out the 2 1/2" hull from the bore, if it doesn't mess with opening of the chamber.
Carry a sling shot. You'll be less frustrated, trust me... I never lie on the internet!
