Do any of you Fudds still use Nosler Partitions?

I had a box of 6.5mm 140 gr partitions on my shelf, so I developed an accurate load. 1 inch repeatable 3 shot groups at 100 yards.

Fed 210m primer, Norma cases just trimmed, 47 gr of h4186sc. 3.03 oal.

Norma's book said 2730 fps, quickload said 2645 fps at 52k psi.

I know I am dead on at 200 yards, 25 farther than I have shot any of my 15 deer before.

Still shot my deer this year with my 45/70 and a 480gr hard cast. Worked just fine.

Fudd is one of those terms that bigots like to use. Like redneck, raghead, and the "n" word. Generally people that use it do so to make themselves feel superior to someone else. For some people, it's the only way they have to feel superior about anything. :)

Fudds are just the old guys that think people with semi autos shoot them selves and plastic is silly. I think it's a smaller step than where you are going.

No it is a step we don't need. It is creating seperation within groups of gun owners something we do not have the numbers within the group or support in the general population to allow happen in 2014.
One change of government and we will be faced with a battle we have never seen before and need every old wood stocked, partition shooting 30/30, cooey 84 owner in our camp.
Open your eyes before it is too late. Spend your efforts educating other gun owners with different likes than you rather than making fun so you say at them
It is exactly seen as jethunter posted
Joke is when we are called to battle again it will be no different than it has for the years I have participated. Old Fudds as you call them will be the first to step up to fight and fill the halls and rallys as they always have.In fact it will looks like a pensioners hall gathering now Where will the next generation be??? Too busy to attend?? like in the past. Thank God for the Fudds and their vote I say or we would not have any guns today

If Fudd was not placed in the original post subject line then yes it would be about 100% projectiles as far as topic is concerned but it is not. Intended as a joke or not the door is open for discussion

Soooooooo here we are talking about Fudd politics instead of projectiles. Which is what Fudds really like to do is complain and whine about things amongst themselves instead of staying on the original topic.

thats what I think of, a fudd will be at the range #####ing about how your gun shouldnt be legal or how your shooting too fast or something, instead of minding their own business and just ####ing shoot

A buddy used to insist I use NP bullets in my 300, but being cheap I like the Hornady Interlock price when purchasing bullets for my 270 and 7x57 Mauser. At this point I have no complaints. Like I said before, I used NP bullets in my 300 for elk, moose and black bear. They worked, but I'm here to tell you a 150 grain HI 270 works too.

It seems like it is a proven round, but there are many much cheaper proven rounds out there as well. I'm sure I would love the NP, but I think for now I am happy with the performances offered by the Hornady GMX and the cheaper Federal Fusions.

I know, I know.......it makes me sad how people take CGN so seriously at all times!!

:(

No SAD to me is when I remember what it was like to be a gun owner/ shooter in the mid 60's and didnot take that freedom seriously and allowed it to regress to where it is today and where it will be in 20 years if we stay on the current path. It is good people take CGN seriously since it is clear we have some even tougher years ahead

Take care

Yes, your generation of gun owners really dropped the ball and screwed it for all of us.

Serious enough for you?

Now, about waning NP sales......

No we did our best. IF we didnot there would be no handguns, semi's etc today for you to own. That one you can take to the bank
Lets see if you can keep that going for the next 50 years. If you are an example of what we are taking to future battles I might as well sell my guns state side now before they become rebar in Canada.SAD

To keep with the partition subject to ensure all are happy
What about partition seconds are they still available
Back before the cross border crap we would buy plastic bags of 50 & 100 partitions clearly labeled as seconds for about 40 cents on the dollar I still have some unopened bags here in 243 etc Could never find any reason other than a bit of color difference in some why they were labeled as seconds
Does anyone recall these?? or seen any lately

Like these Sorry for the pic quality flash and focus not working right since I dropped it :(

If it ain`t broke, don`t fix it. NPs killed stuff deader than dead in the past......just because some new technology has come along, which isn`t necessarily better, but does kill.......NPs will continue to kill stuff deader than dead in the future..........:) I know of a lot of quality products, that I relied on in the past, due to the fact that they suited my needs and were good quality, only to see them discontinued and replaced by a new model that turned out to be inferior in quality:( My point, new isn`t always better and I believe that the NP will exist as long as Nosler name does.

Next person to say Fudd gets pistol-whipped!

Agree! When Roy Weatherby introduced his proprietary cartridges, they only bullet that retain it's weight and not fragment was the nosler partition. It's still a premium bullet for all big game.

Last animal I shot with one was my 2009 whitetail. Haven't bought any Partitons for handloading in years, but I ran into a deal on some Federal Premium 120-grain .257 Roberts. They are still great bullets, but they have been "out-premiumed" by Swift, Barnes and some others.
I use SST's for everything but I'd be just as happy with Partitions I'm sure. They can be very accurate, and their record on game is, to say the least, stupendous.
