Just out of curiosity, wouldn't this be considered to be a stun gun/tazer?

Or is this the same as a legal cattle prod that can be pick up at any TSC?

Thanks, hope I'm not stirring up anything I shouldn't.

Why, I can run someone over in my car as long as I can justify it.

Only lawful defence is you were in fear for your own life or someone else's. You would probably have to run over someone that was shooting at you to stay out of jail.

I want one BAD, but I know somehow I'll end up on the wrong end of it eventually. Plus I have a 3 year old boy....I can just see the wife packing all my #### up and chasing me out of the house with it.

Strictly depends on intent.

88. Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

88. (1) Every person commits an offence who carries or possesses a weapon, an imitation of a weapon, a prohibited device or any ammunition or prohibited ammunition for a purpose dangerous to the public peace or for the purpose of committing an offence.

Ordered! I live in Calgary an walk in Fish Creek Park almost every day. Ive been shadowed by 1 or more coyotes several times this could be fun.

Glad those weren't available when my Grampa was alive...racing around hitting people with his scooter and running them off the sidewalk was bad enough. If he had one of those, White Rock would be littered with the carnage left in his wake...phew!

I see it as an interesting tool for aggressive animals , out running with the hounds and your met with an aggressive dog. I'd be interested to see its effectiveness. The x26 taser only has 50,000 volts compared to the 1,000,000 the cane offers. Hmmmm

Volts don't really matter, they're the 'wow' factor if you will. It's the amps you have to worry about. Although getting tased does suck either way. I'd rather do contact than probe again though, if I had a choice.

Sounds like we need to invent a new sport. IDSCA -- International Defensive Stun Cane Association. Think IDPA, but with things blowing up due to being overvolted. :p
