Just out of curiosity, wouldn't this be considered to be a stun gun/tazer?

Or is this the same as a legal cattle prod that can be pick up at any TSC?

It's as legal as any long handled stock prod. Only the shorter stun guns are prohibited.

Yes, I just looked at the regulation. They must be no less than 480mm. Perfectly legal.

I see it as an interesting tool for aggressive animals , out running with the hounds and your met with an aggressive dog. I'd be interested to see its effectiveness. The x26 taser only has 50,000 volts compared to the 1,000,000 the cane offers. Hmmmm

It's that whole "justify" part. Run over someone with your car, or zap them with a cattle prod, justifiable or not in both cases it will likely cost you a fortune in non-refundable legal costs.

Volts don't really matter, they're the 'wow' factor if you will. It's the amps you have to worry about. Although getting tased does suck either way. I'd rather do contact than probe again though, if I had a choice.

Sounds like we need to invent a new sport. IDSCA -- International Defensive Stun Cane Association. Think IDPA, but with things blowing up due to being overvolted.
