WOW! Chrome and Two Tone Norinco 1911 IN STOCK!!!

I had my compact at the range yesterday and not a single issue. It was quite accurate at 20m out of the box. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of it. The main spring housing is plastic; I plan on replacing it with an Ed brown chain link magwell main spring combo.

Took my Two Tone to the range last night and put 100 rounds down range at a variety of speeds and it handled everything flawlessly. Very Very happy with the purchase. The sights are way low but thats all good, and easy to correct.

There is enough room for the gun and two mags on either side of it. I don't keep it loaded.

Correct my if I'm wrong but I was under the impression it was illegal to store a handgun with ammo. Does the ammo not have to be in a separate, locked container?

Also, where did you get that nice safe? I'd love to get one myself (or two depending on the legality of storing the gun with loaded magazines....lol)

please go here and read the whole thing! http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/fs-fd/storage-entreposage-eng.htm

better yet, print the pdf and store it in the safe too because many police officers dont know either

Taken from the RCMP website:

Store the ammunition separately or lock it up. It can be stored in the same locked container as the firearms.

Thanks for the link.

An RCMP I know told me a couple years ago that the ammo/mags for my handguns couldn't be stored with the firearms. I figured being a cop, he should know the law. So much for that idea!

I'm going to print this out, with URL, and post it inside my gun cabinet.....just in case!

Yes. This is correct I follow the law. As well it states that you have to double lock a restricted firearm "OR" store it in a safe designed for the purpose of storing firearms. The key part is the "OR". So this option is legit. I purchased it from optics planet for $218 including tax, duty, shipping. It's the sv500 gun vault model.

Hand fitted an Ed Brown Match trigger, and oversized nowlin barrel bushing.

It wasn't hard to do. Just took a lot of filing the frame, and carefully running the trigger top and bottom over 320grit sandpaper, then 1000grit. Do a few passes and test fit, don't rush or you'll take off too much metal and get a sloppy trigger. fits amazingly now, and very very smooth. I polished the trigger bow too with 1000grit inside and out.

My chromed one came a few days ago while my wife was home. I accepted delivery and told her they were primers, as I locked the package up.
Finally she went out for tea with the girls, and I was able to take a look-see. Beauty, can't wait to get out shooting with it.
Just have to give it a quick "Tremcladding" of black BBQ paint, so she'll look like any other of her 1911 sisters. And know ones the wiser!;)

Got the chrome compact yesterday and with in 15 mins the finish is scratched to #### simply by racking it back a few times, looks like ill have to have it sanded down and refinished with out ever have firing it as of yet.

To me China gun or not it should not have finish issues just from pulling the slide back.

Who does great refinish work?

Canada Ammo said this is normal ware on the chrome 45, but only pulling the slide back a few times to have the finish scratched off
Really is a piss offf for a new gun.

Yeah, I'm normally a huge Norinco fan, but I'm not impressed with the finish on this one.
Maybe Tremcladding it, will be more of an actuality, than a joke.
