Sorry folks, Since SHOT last week - I've been kinda swamped.

Yes, What the owner of Tanfoglio told me at SHOT was that I can expect a shipment by the end of the month. My fingers are crossed.
I thought government bureaucracy was difficult in Canada; OMG they go through a lot of crap in Italy.
 
Yup, and for some odd reason I seem to be comfortable with the DA/SA production guns so need mine too........just before carsmovies gets his is all I ask........
 
Friday's communication form Italy...

Your previous order is in the final stage of assembling as we had Eric at the factory for assembling and checking the Xtreme line models so we forecast for a delivery of the order by a couple of weeks.

Update:

I received this email from Italy yesterday:

You have still to wait for a while as the frames of the Xtreme models came out completely full of darker spots so we had to return the frames back to the supplier for a last temp to those models with the finishing we have advertised them.
The last get will be made next week and if it doesn't work we have to decide if to drop this type of finishing for a more standard one that we have to decide in the next days. We made a mistake in judging our supplier and we are now paying the consequences.

I talked with Eric Grauffel at the Florida Open and he told me the subcontractor for the finishes ruined 500 frames setting the schedule back.

Again, I'm sorry for the delay, deposits remain on guns for when they come in, we'll be honoring the old pricing on delivery (Tanfoglio is raising prices) and we'll continue to work as hard as possible to get these guns landed here in Canada. And of course, if they go to a different finish with a lower price, we'll make sure you see the savings.

New Update out of Italy...

Finally we have received the casted frames and we started working on them from yesterday. I guess we can deliver your order in 2-3 weeks from today but I will inform you more precisely within the end of next week.

I assume so. The way Eric explained it to me, if they couldn't overcome that - they were going to a different finish all together and I would have been informed of that significant change.
