Range Bags

Unless they upgraded the YKK zipper pulls to the same ones as on their 36" Rifle Bag, no it doesn't lock.

I have one of these on order so I'll see when I get it, but this^ might explain the reviews for these bags( and the 36" bag too) where the reviewers note the lack of and presence of, locking zippers for these bags.

Spent a lot of money on range bags over the years, now I use an LA Police gear bail out bag ... for 20 bucks it rocks, not Maxpedition quailty but if it lets go I will just buy another (I actually got 5 from LAPG). Mine gets a lot of use teaching Pistol and Rifle through work. I am sorry I ever spent hundreds on the latest Gucci bag. The Husky bags are nice too and built like tanks.

LA Police Gear is a great site with good deals, do you get your kit shipped to BC or a parcel service in WA? I haven't pulled the trigger on ordering from them so far, I've used Chief Supply.

The 5.11 36" Rifle Case has lockable YKK zipper pulls on the rifle compartment, the outside storage pocket does not.

I order from them and have them shipped to Blaine, I am close to the border. Anytime one of our members orders kit we all tag stuff along, like I said, the bags are not as nice a County COMM or Maxpedition but for 20 bucks they are great. The other plus is they force you to carry the essentials and not an entire survival kit you never use. I have two set up, one for rifle and the other pistol. The pistol has the bulk of the gear as you always have your handgun.

Roger that, I use a parcel service in ND, really saves on international shipping charges, ouch!

Yeah guys complain that their range bag is too heavy, well don't overload it then sparky! LOL

I have two 5.11 bags in transit that I'm looking forward to loading up and going to the range in style.

Brant shooting sports use to bring in the ced bags, not sure if they're in business any longer. There's an mdcharlton in southern Ontario that brings in bags from various manufactureres as well.

I've got the 2100 pelican (which fits in my range bag), took out a layer of foam and the M&P soft case fits right in. This saves me from bringing my hard case to the line, just pull the soft case out and use that as a go between when unboxing.

I've used a Hatch Patrol bag for several years now. It's inexpensive and durable, lots of pockets for everything and the Velcro baton holder on the back works well for holding targets. I've had it stuffed with 1500 rounds of ammo, and kit for a full carbine course. Zippered inside pocket works well for reg certificates, lots of pen holders, pouches and a dividers as well. Still looks new.
