The oldest working firearm I own. A marlin model 56 aka the levermatic. It came to me in rough shape but other than the pitting in the barrels finish she's good as new



She groups really well at 25 yards. Can't wait for spring to see how she does at longer ranges

My winter project did refinish, installed ebony forend, recut checkering, reshaped and shadow line the check piece . Hope it picture works.

Finally got my Boyds Stock for my Mark 2.all I can say is Love it!!
Installed an Apachee Trigger kit and that made shooting this gun a real Tack driver!
I don't know if the old ladys fruity quilt makes much of a gun pic back ground...;)
 
Hey everyone! New to the site and pretty new to plinking. My first rifle! Savage BTVS with just a bi-pod, strap, and has a Simmons 3-9 x32 on it. Rails darts all day provided the shooter can actually aim haha.

Ont.597, if you can get a hold of the VQ hammer for the 597, it's well worth it. I'm going to look into the Macarbo parts for mine as well. I love the 597's I hope more parts become available for them. Ask johnnyc14 for a bolt handle, you will not regret it! Nice rifle!
