hunting licenses $5 more this year in Manitoba

I remember when they jumped Alberta tags from $10 to $30 bucks all at once. Guys all were saying no way I am paying that much for a tag. But they will buy a $40 buck bottle of booze instead. Tags are cheap compared to the gas money it takes to go hunting.

I have no problem with the increase of $5 for a hunting license if the money goes to help out fish and wildlife. My problem with MB. is the amount of people who can hunt and fish with no license needed at all and a joke for their bag limit. If the MB. government would do something about the harvester rights for the Metis maybe it would be a start to regulating hunting rights for all hunters. I think they should take the $5 and use it for the court cases to level the playing field for all of us. That would help out wildlife more than any government program.

Metis and Treaty Card's are their license and it falls under a government program, well, a human rights program that is.

You must be young and naïve, lol! The government would never do anything that might piss off their voter base. As for the official opposition they can promise whatever they want(see CPC promises on Bill C-68), but would never challenge a Supreme Court ruling. Like it or not Native and Treaty Rights are here to stay.

Being that Manitoba had some very harsh winters on deer, a winter feeding program would to nice to help the deer and other animals.

I fully support a winter feeding program for deer. I know many people who do this on their own accord. Not only does it feed the deer during the winter, but they are fed year round.

I'm hoping that the people of Manitoba will wake up and NOT vote the ndp back in.

This, its amazing people anywhere vote for them. They are absolutely awful and the worst political party on the continent. They are practically communist. If someone tells me they voted for the NDP, I don't continue talking with them

Watched 8 deer come into my buddy's yard last evening. They literally attacked the bird feeders and then hit the pile of oats he put out. The deer are hungry right now, one of the longest and coldest winters on record are really taxing their strength, now is the time for supplemental feeding. If the government doesn't help out then our deer stocks will take a s**t kicking in the next month. The deer I saw were showing signs of coyote attacks and there wasn't a buck in the bunch.
